>The Catalan Broadcasting Corporation (CCMA) launched in 2010 its online live and On Demand Video service, “TV3alacarta“, onto the Ultra New Platforms (Connected TV’s, iPads, iPhones, and PS3 game consoles).
“TV3ala carta“ was launched in 2004, and today it offers more than 200.000 videos on demand at www.3alacarta.cat . Apart from VoD, the service also offers the 6 DTT linear live channels of the CCMA. The user interface of “TV3alacarta“ has been developped to offer a full screen experience of the videos, with very creative and rich transparent contextual menus for features and social networking.
The presentation “One year of Ultra New Media (Connected TV, Ipad, iPhone, and PS3): data and lessons” will offer to the industry’s value chain real and relevant data regarding the video consumption on these new platforms during their first year. Mr. Comerma, Chief Technical Officer at CCMA, will also explain the architecture and developments that have been necessary to drive different propietary publishing systems with the highest efficiency.<
